The countdown is on. On the 10th of September, the NK Gala returns to Stockholm's iconic department store for an evening celebrating the names shaping Swedish fashion, beauty and culture. Here’s what to expect

It's that special time of year again – the leaves are starting to fall and crisp up, and there is a distinctive chill in the air. This turning of the weather indicates one thing: that the annual NK Gala is around the corner.

Hosted in the Stockholm department store's iconic Ljusgården, the NK Gala has become something on an annual fixture on the Swedish fashion calendar. Now, in its 11th year, the evening brings together some of the country's leading names across fashion, design, beauty, culture and innovation, all whilst celebrating the people, brands and ideas moving those industries forward.

Last year's celebrations also marked the occasion of the 110th anniversary of NK in its iconic home on Stockholm's Hamngatan.

This year, festivities kick off on September 10th with a pre-dinner reception at Bobergs at 6:30 pm, before guests descend on Ljusgården for a seated dinner curated by Bobergs Matssal, Tommy Myllymäki, and Pi Le.

Then, of course, come the awards. Hosted by Swedish multi-hyphenate Emilia de Poret, the ceremony will see this year's winners crowned across seven categories. And, if last year is anything to go by, we can expect some familiar faces. The 2025 edition saw Efva Attling take home the Honorary Award, Josephine Bornebusch named Style Icon of the Year, and Chimi, Chandra Beauti/Kelly Gale, Leoní, Way Out West and Koenigsegg all leave with accolades.

As for who will take home the honours this year? That much remains under wraps, but with Sweden's fashion and creative set gathering beneath Ljusgården's glass ceiling, it promises to be quite a night.
