On November 18, Elin Kling's brand Toteme makes its jewellery debut – and the collection is as covetable as you would imagine it to be

“Jewellery has always had an emotional resonance for me, with some of my most treasured items comprising understated vintage pieces that I wear every day," says Elin Kling, Toteme's co-founder and creative director. The inspiration for this new jewellery line came from her "ongoing desire for everyday elegance, with functional yet refined pieces."

The new collection is split between two lines: fine jewellery and signature jewellery. The two sub-categories still follow the Swedish brand's well-known aesthetic, comprising a well-curated closet with everything the 'Toteme woman' could possibly need – a blueprint of effortless Scandinavian minimalism, with worldwide appeal on par with The Row or Khaite.

The build of the fine jewellery is, as expected, centred around luxe materials, using 18kt recycled gold and diamond settings. Meanwhile, the design of the pieces strike an eclectic note, with rings designed to be worn just above the knuckles, stacked together or standalone. They’re accompanied by a delicate forzatina chain necklace in a crew-neck length with lozenge-shaped chain links for a subtly distinguished take on a classic style.

Being able to translate the powerful simplicity of our ready-to-wear into jewellery is a proud moment for Toteme,

The signature line, on the other hand, consists of staple pieces for everyday use – spanning bangle bracelets, rings, hoop earrings and a collar necklace in 18kt gold-plated brass embellished with enamel in neutral shades. "Being able to translate the powerful simplicity of our ready-to-wear into jewellery is a proud moment for Toteme, and we’re so excited to share these designs with the world," Kling concludes.

The debut collection will be available online and in flagship Toteme stores in the US, Europe and Asia from November 18, 2023.
