Ever since street style first came to be, we've been fascinated with what models wear off-duty. From ineffably cool Acne Studios leather jackets to effortless and comfortable New Balance sneakers, some items have reached It-status purely based on their acclaim in the model crowd.
The latest such item to garner the statuesque Scandi models is Patou's new (and first ever) leather handbag. Dubbed 'Le Patou', the style is a limited-edition and numbered collection made from sleeping stock leather in eight true-to-Patou colour ways: from sky blues to poppy reds.

Swedish supermodel Elsa Hosk is a fan of the recently launched upcycled style, and has been seen wearing her beige iteration on multiple occasions. Often reaching for a bucket hat to top of the look, she pairs her Le Patou with a cropped cardigan and beige cargo trousers or a white cropped roll-neck and her signature blue jeans.
"The first thing I wanted to do is create a clear wardrobe for the Patou woman," the brand's artistic director Guillaume Henry tells Vogue Scandinavia. "Six seasons later, we were ready to add the bag to the recipe and complete the brand’s vision and strategy. I love the idea of timeless pieces and clothing, and Le Patou is part of this. It’s a friendly, cool and easy to wear bag."

Fellow 'Angel', Danish supermodel Josephine Skriver joined Hosk in her appreciation for the brand. In February, Skriver sported a baby blue version of Le Patou paired with a beige button down knit dress by Australian brand Petal + Pup and clear PVC 'Revives' heels by Steve Madden covered in crystals.
Set to be the new must-have handbag for the Scandi style set, Patou's half-moon shaped flap-bag made from upcycled leather is one to watch.
