October is here, and while most of us are dusting off our favorite boots and franticly scouring the web for the perfect funnel-neck jacket, Scandinavian tastemakers are globe-trotting between fashion shows, film premieres and buzzy store openings. There is nothing wrong with perfecting our fall basics, of course, but this season we can also take inspiration from the stars and dare to elevate our looks just a little further.
Alexander Skarsgård drew attention at the Zurich Film Festival, wearing a daring silk shirt by Magliano, printed with sexual accessories, boldly aligning his fashion with his soon-to-be-premiered BDSM-themed movie Pillion.
Danish tastemaker Pernille Teisbaek was spotted at one of the most talked-about shows of the season (judging by the A-list guest list, which featured Hailey Bieber, Madonna, and Kate Moss). Teisbaek stunned in a sheer long-sleeved top, a vibrant skirt, and signature Saint Laurent sunglasses. Elsewhere in the city, Pamela Anderson debuted her new hair color in a head-to-toe Tom Ford look, exuding sophistication.
Across the Atlantic in New York, Norwegian actresses Renate Reinsve and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas graced the New York premiere of their Oscar-nominated film Sentimental Value. Both opted for understated elegance: Reinsve in a striking red dress from Louis Vuitton, and Ibsdotter Lilleaas in a black oversized suit.
Back home here in Sweden, model Malaika Holmén brought a distinctly Scandinavian flair to the much anticipated House of Dagmar store opening . Her look—a tailored blazer paired with a layered black-and-white maxi skirt and sleek black heels.
