Svenskt Tenn is journeying beyond its Stockholm home to bring its singular world of interiors to Copenhagen’s 3DaysofDesign
In a rare move over the course of its storied history, Svenskt Tenn, one of Sweden’s most iconic design houses, is stepping beyond its Stockholm walls to bring its inimitable world of interiors to Copenhagen’s 3DaysofDesign. This moment marks a debut at the festival, offering a rare glimpse into a brand that typically exists only within the confines of its Stockholm flagship and curated digital presence.
The Swedish interiors and design shop, founded in 1924 by the visionary Estrid Ericson and further shaped by Austrian-born architect and designer Josef Frank, marked 100 years in business last year, and earlier in 2025, Phaidon released a new book to commemorate its legacy, Svenskt Tenn: Interiors.
An interior design company with a namesake store, Interior Design Studio and Café on Strandvägen 5 in Stockholm, as well as an online shop, Svenskt Tenn is a bastion of Scandinavian design, representing a singular blend of bold expression, timeless craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality. This June, visitors to 3DaysofSesign will be able to experience that world-renowned, Swedish-based spirit in person, in a thoughtfully curated residential apartment in Denmark, which represents the brand’s inimitable marriage of form and function within a real-life setting

As Tora Grape, Marketing Director at Svenskt Tenn, explains: “For the first time in many years, Svenskt Tenn steps outside Stockholm to present its world of interiors in a new light – not in a showroom but in the intimacy of a private home. Set in a residential apartment in Copenhagen’s Christianshavn district, this special exhibit offers a rare glimpse into the interior philosophy of Estrid Ericson and Josef Frank, thoughtfully placed in a real-life setting which has been curated by the Svenskt Tenn team. Visitors will see a selection of furniture, textiles, and wallpaper, alongside table setting and pewter objects – among much else. While no purchases can be made directly on-site, we hope that our guests will walk away with a wealth of inspiration.”

More than an exhibition, this showcase represents a living archive. Svenskt Tenn’s selection of furniture, textiles, and pewter objects, produced across the past 100 years, will be on display, each piece telling a story of heritage, sustainability, and design integrity. In a world increasingly shaped by mass production and transient trends, Svenskt Tenn offers something deeper: a reminder of the enduring value of the human touch in the world of design.

The pop-up is especially notable given the brand’s unique retail approach. Svenskt Tenn operates solely out of its Stockholm home and e-commerce platform, with no wholesale partners and no international retail footprint. For most, encountering the brand’s distinctive aesthetic in person requires a pilgrimage to Sweden’s capital. This new temporary home in Copenhagen changes that, if only for a few days: the exhibition provides a fleeting opportunity for the public and design professionals to experience, firsthand, Svenskt Tenn’s craftsmanship, philosophy, and design legacy in an entirely new context.
Public access will run from 18–20 June at Overgaden Neden Vandet 33, and the showroom opens its doors a day earlier for industry professionals, with private appointments available throughout.
