Gravity-defying hair and metallic accents defined the beauty look at Soeren Le Schmidt's circus-set runway show
Showmanship reached new heights (quite literally) at Danish designer Soeren Le Schmidt's big-top runway show last night. Set in Copenhagen's landmark Cirkus Building, showgoers were – after all – greeted by more than models for the occasion, with an aerial hoop artist suspended high above the crowd.
Backstage, creativity was equally airborne. "The collection embodies a sporty yet avant-garde take on couture, bringing dynamic energy to each look," shares Sidsel Marie Bøg, who led the hair and makeup teams. Using products from L'Oréal Professionnel Paris, the hair stylists were sculpting gravity-defying hairdos to challenge the impressive twists and turns of the aerial artist above. "We’re showcasing three distinct hair looks," says Bøg. "One featuring high hair elegantly wrapped, another incorporates wrapped hairpieces in organza with extensions framing the face, and a third look with caps and scarves accented by flowing extensions."

As for the makeup, Glo Skin Beauty was used throughout. "Our makeup vision revolves around sculpted definition, boldly contoured and highlighted to perfection for both men and women," Bøg continued. Eyes received special attention, with one look showcasing an unexpected mint-green accent, sweeping dramatically outward and upward, offering a playful pop of colour. The second look embraced metallics, dialling shine to maximum impact with "extreme luminosity, intense highlights, and sharp, defined contours."
