This season saw some 70 shows and presentations grace the official New York Fashion Week schedule, so you may be forgiven if a moment or two slipped through the cracks. Between the blockbuster shows, celebrity-packed front rows, and the general Manhattan mayhem that descends upon the city each September, something distinctly Scandinavian was afoot.
The Nordic contingent made its presence felt from all angles. A new generation of Danish and Swedish models cropped up on some of the week's most watched runways; a certain Danish-Greek princess swapped her front-row seat for a turn on the catwalk, and one of Copenhagen fashion's most subversive names brought her particular brand of chaos to New York for the first time.
