Getting ready for the last night of the year is no easy feat. We've all been there, standing in front of a vast wardrobe of fancy frocks, yet with nothing to wear. However, this year, the little black dresses and silver sequins, although a safe bet, was not the outfit of choice for the Scandi style set. In lieu of the LBD, they reached for more adventurous alternatives, namely impossibly perfect purple dresses.
While similar in silhouette – with long sleeves and high slits – it was the colour in question that piqued our interest. Selected by the American colour chart Pantone as the flagship colour of 2022, vivid violets and luscious lilacs are set to take over our favourite fashion pieces without further delay. Designated to dethrone pink as the style set's shade of choice, we're purging our closets for the new year to incorporate the new reigning colour of choice.
Whether periwinkle, magenta or indigo, we're keen to explore this particular colour prediction for 2022.
