Here’s what you can expect from Scandinavia’s capitals for Pride 2025

With an unwavering focus on community and inclusivity, Scandinavia’s capital cities are celebrating Pride 2025 not only with love, but with resilience. Amid a global rise in anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, this year’s festivities – anchored by the global theme 'One Story, One Future' serve as a powerful reminder of the hope and strength that safe spaces can foster.

Each Nordic city will bring its own unique flair, yet all are united in vibrant programmes designed to both entertain and educate. From drag shows and live music to lectures and lively debates, there’s something for everyone – of every age – to take part in.

Kicking off in Oslo and culminating in Copenhagen, Pride 2025 is shaping up to be a celebration for all.

Oslo (June 20 - 28)

Kicking off the summer festivities, Oslo Pride – Norway’s largest LGBTQ+ festival – promises a vibrant, week-long celebration of community and self-expression. For those with a passion for the arts, a rich programme of concerts, art exhibitions, and film screenings is sure to inspire.

Running alongside the main events, Mini Pride provides a welcoming, family-friendly environment for children in Oslo to engage with Pride in a safe and joyful way. Capping off the week, the fan-favourite Pride Parade takes over the streets on Saturday the 28th – a spectacular finale set to make history.

Helsinki (June 23 -29)

In a show of solidarity and togetherness, Helsinki Pride opens their arms to all with its local 2025 them, 'Pride without Borders'. Throughout the week, there will be plenty of lectures and workshops at Pride House reflecting on this year’s theme, and raising awareness of global issues in the LGBTQ+ community.

On June 28th, the infamous Pride Park Festival and Parade will take place, with participants gathering in Senate Square, then making their way to Brunnparken where performances, food, and drinks await. In 2024 over 100,000 people participated in this event, and this year’s lineup promises to be just as dazzling, with Finnish artist Yeboyah headlining the show, Helsinki pride is not one to be missed.

Stockholm Pride (July 28 - August 2)

Stockholm Pride – the largest Pride celebration in Scandinavia – marks its 27th year in 2025. Taking over the heart of the city, the week-long festivities invite the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike to show up, stand proud, and be seen for exactly who they are.

On August 2nd, the iconic Pride Parade brings the energy, with over 45,000 participants making their way from Stadshuset on Kungsholmen to Pride Park. Later that evening, Östermalm’s IP comes alive as this year’s headliner, A*Teens, takes the stage. Tickets are required for Pride Park events, so be sure to secure yours ahead of time to catch all the action at the main stage.

Reykjavik Pride (August 5 - 10)

Lovingly dubbed “the world’s biggest small Pride,” Reykjavík Pride brings heart and soul to this summer’s line-up. Since its humble beginnings in 1999 as a one-day event with just 1,500 participants, it has grown into a week-long celebration that now draws over 100,000 attendees from around the globe – making it Iceland’s biggest annual event.

While much of this year’s programme is still under wraps, if last year is anything to go by, Reykjavík Pride is not to be missed. One date to mark in your calendar? August 9th, when the storied Pride Parade takes over the city. Whether you're part of the LGBTQ+ community or a proud ally, all are welcome to join this vibrant and inclusive celebration.

Copenhagen Pride (August 9 - 17)

In response to the growing global rollbacks of LGBTQ+ rights, Copenhagen Pride returns with its own powerful 2025 theme: 'Same for Everyone'. Running from August 9th to 17th, the festival strikes a meaningful balance between activism and celebration.

Pride Square will host a wide array of panels, discussions, and debates, tackling timely and relevant topics. Just a short stroll away, the square will buzz with community-driven events – from the Big Queer Flea Market and Children’s Pride to the ever-popular Drag Bingo.

On August 16th, the grand finale arrives with the annual Pride Parade, marching from Frederiksberg City Hall to Pride Square. There, the festivities continue with food, drinks, and the spirited Closing Concert – wrapping up Scandinavia’s Pride season in style.
