South Korean artist Peggy Gou stunned in structural black Acne Studios at the London premiere of F1. But was the look a nod to the motorsport itself?
F1 season is upon us. No, we are not speaking about the actual motorsport, but the Brad Pitt-fronted blockbuster film, which has sped off on its aesthetically pleasing press run (several designer boiler suits in tow). While there have been plenty of excellent looks to grace various slick looking carpets thus far (not to mention a much-discussed wardrobe refresh for Pitt himself), Peggy Gou has just taken pole position. The South Korean DJ and producer stepped out for yesterday’s European premiere in London wearing a form-fitting black Acne Studios frock with a daring hip-high slit, plucked from the Swedish brand’s autumn/winter '25 collection.

It’s entirely possible that Gou picked out the look when it made its runway debut; she sat front row (next to Doechii, no less) at the Björk-inspired show at Paris Fashion Week last March. And while the collection, which lived in the contrast of urban environments and nature, featured plenty of covetable fuzzy outerwear and fluid frocks, this look in particular is apt for the occasion. Not only did Gou coordinate with the F1 premiere’s black carpet (and the sleek black F1 car on display), the structural off-the-shoulder neckline and gentle hip padding appears just a little bit tire-like (or, perhaps, like a fashion-forward oil slick).

Completing the striking look, Gou opted for sky-high black stilettos with a chunky gold ankle chain, mirrored by simple gold orb-like earrings. Pop the champagne, we have a winner.
