Livid - runway - AW22

Livid's latest collection has us dressed in floor-grazing silhouettes and layers upon layers

As the only live show in Oslo this autumn/winter season, Livid's autumn/winter 2022 collection kept us sartorially satiated. Presenting cold weather essentials like a voluminous mohair teddy coat to a shearling jacket with swirling strands of fur, the collection had a singular season in mind. Padded scarves were wrapped around the waist of the models, denim-on-demin took on new dimensions and light-washed chaps were layered over black jeans, and skirts were worn atop trousers.

The garments were almost all long, sleeves and hemlines all stretching towards the floor. The palette was mainly muted, with materials made for a colder climate in black and melanged wools, ombre checks and lustrous satins. Details were done with draping, emphasising the sweeping silhouettes. The barrel shaped legs of tailored trousers and blue jeans is a stand out among the crowd, as is our favourite find in the line-up: an aviator jacket with vintage appeal.

Sustainability keeps being key for Livid. All of the Norwegian brand's materials are responsibly sourced from European and Japanese mills, and its production line transparent and based in the EU.
