While Copenhagen Fashion Week turned out slept-in liner and swampy strands, Chanel Haute Couture offered something far more flushed. Backstage in Paris, cheeks were softly sculpted and stained with the house’s new Rouge Noir collection. With the steamy show back on our screens, could this be proof that Bridgerton-blush is shaping up to be spring’s most wearable trend, dear reader?

This season, Chanel's ingenue gets her blush on. While the makeup mavens in Copenhagen leaned into dishevelment (smoked-out under-eye haze and hair that looked better the day after) Paris pivoted to a more romantic avenue. At Haute Couture, beauty was lit-from-within and ballroom-ready at the famed French Maison: a stain of delicate rouge, filtered skin, and a subtle dew to catch the light without veering too far into “glass skin” territory.
