Dim lighting, smudged liner, and slept-in hair set the scene at Studio Constance AW26, where candlelit chaos ruled the runway and the beauty look leaned fully into moody McQueen references

A smudge of kohl here, a fingertip blend there. At Studio Constance’s autumn/winter ’26 show – staged under flickering candlelight and thick with 1990s angst – beauty took a deliberately dishevelled turn. “Some of the best looks were the ones done when there was no time,” said key makeup artist Vilde Feste, who shifted her original McQueen-inspired concept into something looser and smokier once the models and garments came into play backstage. “It feels more authentic and less planned.”
