Fassbender - runway - AW22

By Josefin Forsberg

Feast your eyes on Fassbender’s autumn/winter 2022 collection

Walking through billowing smoke in the Zalando Greenhouse located in Nikolaj Kunsthall, Fassbender’s models wore a strict colour palette of black and white at the start of the show. However, the severe shades were soon contrasted with the lively addition of bright red, vivid purples, and electric greens set against a muted base of beige. Statement shearling collars and shoulder wraps served to framed the models’ faces as the elongated silhouettes swept across the runway.

The silhouettes seemed to take centre stage at Fassbender. Loose trousers, scrunched-up sleeves, and flowing coats were key. However, the devil was in the details, seen in the perfectly placed pleats on the back of a trench coat and the plunging neckline of a buttery leather dress.

Fassbender sets out to reset the rules in order to be more sustainable. “Until now, sustainability has been vastly underrepresented in the fashion industry,” the brand told Vogue Scandinavia. “It pushes us into innovation rather than restricting ourselves. This is how we found some of our favourite fabrics, such as sugar cane leather, recycled wool, or simply finding the perfect sustainable jersey.”
