From sitting front row on a bed at Nicklas Skovgaard, to wearing a show-stopping IAMISIGO look, to attending our Royal Copenhagen dinner, American model and activist Lauren Wasser had a whirlwind debut CPHFW. She gives us an inside look at all the action with her fashion week diary.
Perhaps you saw Lauren Wasser at Copenhagen Fashion Week this season. After all, the American model and activist was seemingly everywhere (dressed in excellent looks, natch) Though it was her first CPHFW (though not her first time in Copenhagen) with her effortless style and cool girl attitude, she fit right in with the local fashion crowd. “CPHFW was such a surprise to me – in the best way,” she says. “Even outside of the fashion week schedule, the city itself has such a vibe. People aren’t afraid to take risks with their style, and there’s a real effortless cool factor to the way everyone dresses. Honestly, everyone is so beautiful – it was inspiring just walking around.”
As for what she witnessed on the runways, Wasser was “blown away” by the creativity of the designers. Off the runways, the entire Danish aesthetic resonated with her own sensibilities. “Danish style is so refined yet approachable - it’s all about clean lines, minimalist design, and functionality without sacrificing beauty,” she says. “There’s a calm, understated elegance in the way things are styled and built here, whether it’s fashion, interiors, or even hotels. You can feel the history of the city through the architecture and it is so breathtaking.”
To say that Wasser fell in love with Copenhagen is an understatement. “It's one of the most magical places I've ever been,” she says.

"I also visited the Ganni showroom, it was actually my first stop in Copenhagen, and they welcomed us with homemade cookies and lemonade," she says. It set such a charming tone for the week."

"The Vogue Scandinavia dinner at the Glyptotek on Monday night was unreal," she says. "Walking into that space - candles lit, intimate tables surrounded by statues, it felt like stepping into a dream. I wore this sick Ganni suit and the energy was just perfect. It was super intimate but full of great people and we laughed for hours. Definitely a night I'll never forget!"

Before heading off to the IAMISGO show, Wasser popped by our Copenhagen Studios breakfast "The IAMISIGO show was my absolute favourite – Bubu is an incredible talent," she says. "Her energy is unmatched, and that blue dress she designed? Easily my favourite look of the week. Major shout out to her and her whole team - so special."

"There were so many unforgettable moments," says Wasser. "The Zalando dinner for IAMISIGO was absolutely beautiful."

Bees were everywhere this season – an uninvited CPHFW guest eager to sip on sugary drinks and nibble on pastries. "The cinnamon buns at the Villa hotel (which used to be a post office!) were life-changing," Wasser says. "Even if I had to share them with the bees that followed me around all week."

"I loved wearing the grey jacket and black pants look from Rotate," says Wasser. "It just felt right in Copenhagen Such a boss look!"

"Another magical moment were the horses at Baum und Pferdgarten," says Wasser. "They were so majestic - I’m a huge animal lover, so that moment really stayed with me."
