Following 2025 Zalando Visionary Award winner, Nigerian brand IAMISIGO's splashy debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week, Zalando threw an electric bash to celebrate the occasion, topped off with an A-list guest list. Below, your exclusive peek into the buzzy night

A distinctly fresh breeze cut through Copenhagen yesterday – and we’re not talking about the weather. One of the most hotly-anticipated moments on this season’s Copenhagen Fashion Week roster took place as the 2025 Zalando Visionary Award winner, Nigerian label IAMISIGO, made its debut in the Danish capital, presenting its spring/summer ’26 collection at the lofty, light-hued studio space Fabrikken.

Entitled ‘Dual Mandate’, in the SS26 line-up, founder Bubu Ogisi explored Lord Lugard’s colonial text of the same name, approached through the brand’s signature spiritual and tactile lens – to raucous applause from the show-goers.

After the hard work was done, it was time to play. As twilight cloaked Copenhagen, Zalando invited the who’s-who of the fashion world in town back to Fabrikken, to fete Ogisi and her label’s major achievement. In attendance were everyone from model and content creator Deba Hekmat, and founder and creative director of GCDS Giuliano Calza, to stylist Eniafe Momodu, including Vogue Scandinavia’s editor-in-chief, Martina Bonnier.

“There was such a positive energy, celebrating the power of creativity,” she muses of the evening. Bonnier had also attended IAMISIGO’s SS26 show, noting that the collection was “very beautiful, amazing craft with so many intricate details.” She adds: “I think this was one of the most interesting showcases, not only for the Visionary Award, but also for Copenhagen Fashion Week, because it gave a fresh vibe. And it’s very fun and colourful. As a fashion editor, it’s rare that you genuinely become curious of ‘How did they do that? What was the thinking behind it?’ – IAMISIGO pushed boundaries.”

As the night unfolded, touching speeches were delivered in praise of Ogisi, and a delectable dinner was served on white-clothed, candlelit tables that snaked along the same path the runway had traced earlier. The cherry on top? A surprise performance by buzzy American artist Kelela crowning the bash.
