With Copenhagen Fashion Week lighting up the Danish capital this week, we map out where the fashion set are fuelling up between shows, because these days, the best place to be seen isn’t front row – it’s street side at the hottest new café
Few weeks are as gloriously chaotic as fashion week. For four days straight, the style set are sprinting from showcases to runways, from coffee meeting to parties – on repeat. But in a city like Copenhagen, even the most ardent fashion fan must find time to eat. And here, what’s on the table is just as much a draw as what’s on the catwalk.
With The Bear making food and kitchens sexier than ever – and spotlighting Copenhagen as a culinary mecca in its latest season – the Danish capital is basking in fresh gastronomic reverence. The city’s food scene isn’t just a side dish to fashion week; it’s become a main event.
So, as editors and influencers dash between Cecilie Bahnsen and Rotate, the savviest are slotting in pit stops at the coolest restaurants, bars, and bakeries in town. Because these days, the best place to be seen isn’t front row – it’s streetside at the city's hottest new gastronomical spot.
Where do the fashion set eat when they come to town you ask? Here, we've rounded up the Scandi girl’s hitlist for Copenhagen Fashion Week 2025.

It’s official – Copenhagen is quickly becoming the baking capital of the world, and Juno the Bakery is one of its hottest spots for all things lamination. Here, former Noma pastry chef Emil Glaser draws lengthy lines for his city-defining cardamom buns, plus seasonal fruit pastries, bulbous, sugar-dusted donuts and, of course, some of the best sourdough bread in the city. Stumble by this Østerbro joint during fashion week and you’ll find Ganni-clad show goers fuelling up before a gruelling day of fashion.

There are few spots more coveted in Copenhagen on a sunny day than the docks outside La Banchina. Here, city-siders and tourists alike lounge in the sun with glasses of natural wine, rolling into the harbour waters below to cool off every now and again. The concise, daily changing menu honours the seasons and centres seafood and vegetables from the region – making it perfect fare for refuelling after an afternoon spent working on your tan. La Banchina is the coolest place in the city even when fashion week isn’t on, so we expect its jetty to be extra full this August.

Koan

Korean food is having a moment in Copenhagen right now, and no chef is more synonymous with the city’s newfound love for the cuisine than Kristian Baumann. Following extensive travels back to his birth country, Baumann opened Koan as a tribute to his heritage in Korea and Denmark, the country he was raised in. After nabbing position number 91 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list this year and receiving two Michelin stars in 2023, it’s clear Koan is going from strength to strength. Expect to spy fine dining-loving front row regulars here during fashion week.

POPL Burger

Sometimes during fashion week you need one thing and one thing only: a damn good burger. Should the craving strike in Copenhagen there’s only one place the fashion set will make a beeline for: POPL Burger. These are no average burgers, though – these are Noma burgers, aka burgers made by the restaurant that has been named the best in the world five times in the last 15 years. Launched as a project during the pandemic, POPL grew into a cult favourite all on its own and now uses the expertise that made Noma so great and turns it into innovative burgers that still absolutely hit the spot.

Delphine

High-concept design restaurants are like catnip to the fashion world, and Delphine is perhaps the jewel in Copenhagen’s interiors-led restaurant crown. Greek and Italian influenced, food takes inspiration from the Mediterranean – making it the perfect fare for sunny afternoons in between shows. The crispy aubergine – which sees the vegetable breaded, fried and served on a bed of roasted tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella and capers – has already become a cult favourite, while the grilled prawns are, unsurprisingly , a must-order.

Rosforth and Rosforth

There are few places more quintessentially Copenhagen than Rosforth and Rosforth. Hidden under Knippelsbro Bridge, this natural wine shop and bar is the spot Copenhagen’s coolest residents make a beeline for on a sunny day. It also makes for the perfect post-show debrief spot. Grab a glass or a bottle, pick a perch on the edge of the harbour, and chat through your favourite looks over a good natural wine. Bliss.

Auren’s Deli

Should you find yourself needing a serious dose of fruit and veg while tackling fashion week, set your coordinates for Auren’s Deli, where the shelves and plates are piled high with fresh produce from the deli’s own farm in Kirke Hyllinge. Classic European-accented dishes like a salad of cucumber, melon, feta and mint, or bright red cuore del vesuvio tomatoes with braised lamb put the ingredients front and centre, making this the perfect spot to pull up to when your stomach needs a little nourishment. In the evenings, the deli is soundtracked by a remix of popping bottles and spinning vinyl on the decks.

Propaganda

As we mentioned, Copenhagen is in the throes of a love affair with Korean food, and if the fashion girlies aren’t going full fine dining at Koan, then you’ll find them at Propaganda, where flavour-forward Korean small plates and natural wine go hand in hand. A big plate of the iconic Korean fried chicken with gochujang glaze and a bowl of cold noodle salad washed down with a zippy glass of orange wine is the perfect post-show tonic.
