Natural, fresh and low-effort: that’s the beauty philosophy Norwegian creative Anniken Jørgensen swears by. She keeps her skin nourished with Dermalogica classics, wakes up her under-eyes with patches and opts fingertip-smudged eyeliner when she wants soft, smokey definition. Here, she shares the products she reaches for every day
Could you share your daily beauty routine with us, from morning prep to evening wind-down? What products are essential at each step?
I actually prefer not to wear too much makeup unless I have to! I like to keep things natural. Most days I don't even wear mascara. As I love a clean look, skincare is more my thing. My bathroom cabinet is brimming with products to nourish my skin. Lately, I've been loving Dermalogica. This brand has been my skin saviour since I was 18 and I don't think I'll ever stop using it! Every morning I also look forward to using my eye patches, they always work magic on my tired under-eyes.

How do you transition your look from daytime to evening? Are there specific products or techniques you find indispensable?
During the day, I keep my skin clear and glowy with the help of some tinted sunscreen. If the occasion calIs for it, come evening-time I reach for my Natálie eyeliner. It helps me create a very smokey but natural look that I really enjoy. I blend it using my fingers and smudge it out to frame my eyelid. Sometimes I'll even add some mascara as a finishing touch! No matter what time of day it is, I always strive to appear as fresh and natural as possible.
What products do you always have in your handbag – whether headed for a night out or for a red-eye flight?
My Natálie "Silk" lip balm! I promise you will rarely see me without this on my lips.

What is your holy grail beauty product that you would recommend to anyone, and why?
I think just lipliners in general. Perhaps some brow wax. These two things are my holy grails and always help me look well put together! I like to pair to wear them with a hairpin from Englund1917, which helps me make the perfect updo!
If you could give your younger self one piece of beauty advice, what would it be?
Do it, because you will regret if you don't. And you will regret if you do, so why even think about it.
