Armed with a new camera, Swedish hockey star William Nylander gives Vogue Scandinavia an exclusive look at his off-ice escapades at Milano Cortina 2026

If there’s one guy who made the most of his time in Milan during the 2026 Winter Olympics, it’s Swedish hockey star William Nylander. Sure, it wasn’t a standout Games for the Sweden’s men’s hockey team (they were eliminated in the quarter finals), but off the ice, Nylander, who’s currently the top scorer for the Toronto Maple Leafs, had an enviable stint in Italy (he is a bona fide fashion guy, after all).

“It was such an honour representing Sweden at the Olympics,” says Nylander. “Unfortunately, we didn't get the results we were hoping for on the ice, but it still was surreal to be part of the 2026 games. Even more special to share this experience with my family.”

Armed with a new camera and joined by his family, including his dad, NHL great Michael Nylander, William explored the shops, recorded content for his YouTube channel (we’re here for his influencer era, frankly) and even indulged in a sweet treat. Below, he shares an exclusive photo diary with Vogue Scandinavia.
