From month to month, Stockholm-based Verona Farrell of Secondhandhuns scours and snapshots the best style throughout our region's streets (and hottest parties) for Vogue Scandinavia – sharing her musings along the way. This time round, she lenses the best vintage spottings around town during Copenhagen Fashion Week's AW26 edition
Fashion week typically celebrates the new. Or rather, newer than new, since pieces on the runway don’t even hit the shelves for another twelve months.
Any clued-in fashion week attendee knows there’s extra points for wearing the brand of the show they’re attending. They know that it’s important for building relationships with designers and a sure way to attract the attention of our unofficial outfit umpires (street style photographers). During this week in particular, newness carry a certain currency.
And yet, despite that logic, a Scandinavian appreciation for the old showed up once again this season. Guests were seen braving the Copenhagen cold in inherited fur jackets and statement wool hats, with pairs of blizzard appropriate footwear packed into oversized vintage designer bags.
