The Aurora 2026 has come and gone, leaving little more than fleeting reflections in the rear windows of the many remarkable cars making their way home. But one thing remains undeniable: Vogue Scandinavia brought the sophistication on-site – with a programme and slew of personalities that were every bit as compelling as the automobiles.
Every summer, The Aurora transforms Sweden's west coast into one of Europe's most compelling gatherings for automotive enthusiasts, collectors and lovers of design. This year, Vogue Scandinavia returned as part of that world, bringing together leading figures from fashion, sport, cuisine and culture in a lounge at the heart of the concours.
With the sea glistening beyond its terrace, the Vogue Scandinavia lounge became as much a meeting place as a destination. Guests drifted between panel discussions, immersive brand activations and the eclectic remixes of DJs Regis and Brice Abby, professionally known as Doppelganger Paris, while champagne flowed and conversations carried long into the afternoon. From reformer Pilates sessions by re:flow to installations by some of the weekend's leading partners – including MINI Cooper, Gents, Westwing and Bolon – the programme extended far beyond the automotive world.

At its heart were a series of conversations celebrating creativity in its many forms. Chef Tommy Myllymäki reflected on the thinking behind his latest dining venture, Liv, his years on Sveriges Mästerkock and the continual evolution of Nordic cuisine. During an intimate Tiffany & Co. hosted breakfast, Clara Hallencreutz and Fares Fares joined editor-in-chief Martina Bonnier to discuss creativity, partnership and balancing public and private life, while record-breaking Olympic superstar Johannes Klæbo offered insights into the discipline behind sustained success, sharing lessons from another remarkable season and looking ahead to the next chapter of his life.

The programme continued with Olympic champions Ebba Andersson and Sara Hector, who spoke candidly about the resilience demanded by elite sport, the intricacies of their respective disciplines and the surprising reality that a professional skier may own well over 30 pairs of skis. Closing the weekend, Loreen captivated the audience with reflections on spirituality, artistic expression and her enduring connection to nature, before conversation inevitably turned to her signature nails.
As each day's compelling conversations drew to a close, the lounge naturally spilled into the festival's wider social calendar. Guests gathered for sunset cocktails hosted by J.P. Morgan before reconvening the following evening at Villa Abeline for an elegant black-tie dinner, where Vogue Scandinavia's starry line-up of talents mingled with friends of the magazine, including former cover star Princess Sofia of Sweden

Across the weekend, the Vogue Scandinavia lounge demonstrated that The Aurora is about far more than exceptional automobiles. It became a space where fashion, design and culture met engineering and craftsmanship, with each enriching the other. Whether guests arrived for the cars, the conversations or simply some stylish company, they left having experienced The Aurora through a distinctly Scandinavian lens.
