The renowned jewellery house just launched its latest Haute Joaillerie line-up that celebrates one of the brand’s most beloved pieces

Tiffany & Co. has just released its latest, joy-inducing high jewellery capsule collection, drawing inspiration from one of the brand’s most iconic pieces: the Bird on a Rock brooch, initially conceived by Jean Schlumberger in 1965. Among the most revered creatives to design for Tiffany & Co., Schlumberger is known for rejuvenating and pioneering a fresh aesthetic at the renowned jewellery house with his whimsical and innovative, nature-inspired pieces.

Following Schlumberger’s animal-loving footsteps, Tiffany & Co.’s latest line-up, ‘Rainbow Bird on a Rock,’ presents an exclusive range of brooches and three watches that complement the house’s first Bird on a Rock-influenced offering introduced in 2023. “The capsule collection is a tribute to Jean Schlumberger’s enduring vision,” says the brand. “It celebrates and uplifts the expert craftsmanship and extraordinary design sensibility that continue to drive Tiffany High Jewellery.”

Boasting vibrant, colour-bursting precious gemstones like striking blue tourmalines and zesty yellow zircons, upon which playful birds crafted meticulously from gold, diamonds, and pearls are perched, the brooches perfectly embody the spirit of Schlumberger’s legacy. A homage to the beloved jewellery maker is evident in the 18k gold wirework integrated into the designs and the gemstone drops set en tremblant, as if suspended from the birds’ heads.

Like the brooches, the capsule’s watches evoke a fantastical feel, guaranteed to inject whimsy into any attire. Reflecting Schlumberger’s unique vision, the timepieces are crafted in 18k white gold and adorned with precious stones and diamonds. Featuring alligator-patterned straps, the pieces come in a stunning teal, magenta, and navy colourway with delicate, diamond-dripping birds nestled in the watch face. Due to the intricate craftsmanship involved (it takes approximately 55 hours to mount 570 diamonds on each watch), Tiffany & Co. will produce fewer than 30 watches each year, making each piece a truly rare gem.
