What happens when you drop a handful of very stylish Scandinavians into London for Fashion Week? Apparently, they all end up in roughly the same places. Ahead of LFW, I tapped a few of my favourite Scandis – Emilia Silberg, Caroline Ebo, Ida Sjunnesson, and Rikke Krefting Ulstein – to divulge the London addresses they actually frequent, from where they grab breakfast before running to a show, to the table they book for dinner, and where they wind up once all the invitations are exhausted.
Some names came up more than once. Joe & The Juice's Tunacado, naturally, proved something of a Scandi home comfort, while ...At Sloane, the discreet Chelsea bolthole beloved by the fashion set, and The Twenty Two in Mayfair emerged as favourites for decidedly more glamorous affairs. But beyond the usual fashion-week haunts, their recommendations reveal a rather more British side to the capital.
Because, when in London, even the most devoted Scandi minimalist can be persuaded by the charms of a proper pub, a post-show pint or a Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Throw in neighbourhood restaurants, tried-and-tested coffee shops and the odd tucked-away address you might actually return to once the fashion circus has moved onto Milan, and a different sort of LFW itinerary begins to emerge.
