Emblazoned with two of Marimekko’s most iconic signature prints, Tasaraita (1968) by Annika Rimala and Unikko (1964) by Maija Isola, the collection introduces them in brand-new, exclusive colourways where shades of burgundy red, carmine pink and sapphire blue are contrasted with mélange grey and beige. The result? A vibrant and playful take on loungewear and accessories which are sure to inject a hefty dose of dopamine into the upcoming gloomy winter days.

“We always try to find new ways to inspire both our existing and new customers at Marimekko,” says Satu Maaranen, Head Designer of Kioski Ready-to-Wear, Bags and Accessories at Marimekko. “Together with Zalando, we are excited to bring joy to an even wider audience through Marimekko’s bold and colourful designs. The two iconic prints in this assortment have become symbols of their own right – Tasaraita is an expression of equality, whereas Unikko symbolises creativity and courage.”

Zalando has always been at the forefront of highlighting responsible and innovative Nordic brands, and collaborating with Marimekko brings the beloved Finnish label’s cheerful pieces to an even wider audience. “This capsule is another milestone in our partnership [with Marimekko] and showcases Zalando as a credible, fresh, and inclusive partner for brands,” says Fabio Baum, General Manager Nordics & Benelux at Zalando.
