This week was all about festivities, and our Scandinavian style stars delivered one standout look after another. What truly captivated us, though, was their fearless approach to color and texture, bringing fresh energy to the season’s events.
Elle Fanning was a vision in red and pink, wearing a sculptural creation by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Balenciaga. While not technically Scandinavian, Fanning’s connection to the region earns her an honorary place on our list. In Joachim Trier’s highly praised film Sentimental Value, she stars alongside Scandinavian stars Stellan Skarsgård, Renate Reinsve, and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, and even perfected a Norwegian accent for the role.
Maya Jama also embraced bold color, lighting up the British Museum Ball in London earlier this week in a floral Richard Quinn gown.
Meanwhile, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas proved that simplicity reigns supreme. Attending the 5th Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, she appeared on the red carpet in a white, expertly draped Stella McCartney dress. And Uma Thurman and Helena Christensen both reminded us that the allure of a black dress never fades. Thurman’s denim gown by Zac Posen offered a cool, unexpected twist on classic eveningwear.
To round out the week, Maya Nilsen turned heads at the London launch of Glenn Martens for H&M, delivering a masterclass in menswear-inspired style with a perfectly tailored grey double-breasted coat.
