Fancy a fall wardrobe refresh? We’ve pinpointed three key trends from the autumn/winter '25 runways easily adaptable to the streets, courtesy of our curated selection of pieces
Accessories add the special sauce to any look. Come autumn, our accessories game only intensifies, as scarves and hats, gloves and boots enter the chat – endless options to meet the season and bring that little (or big, as it were) extra something to an outfit. Then there are the bags, with the range of suitable options ever expanding beyond daintier summery selections.
The AW25 runways served up accessories that toe the line between practical and fantastical, sometimes pulling an outfit together (literally), elsewhere adding a splash of colour or texture. Whatever the case, without these pieces an autumn look would simply feel incomplete.
To put the perfect finishing touch on your autumn looks, we’ve pinpointed three unmissable accessories trends to try from the autumn/winter 2025 runways, with pieces plucked from luxury Swedish department store NK.
Bonkers for Belts

Chloé FW25.

Saint Laurent menswear AW25.

Ermanno Scervino FW25.

Dolce & Gabbana menswear FW25.
“It’s a big belt season,” says Vogue Scandinavia editor in chief Martina Bonnier matter-of-factly. Indeed, belts of every shape, size and form dominated the AW25 runways. Teeny tiny belts holding up ultra relaxed trousers (take inspo from the Dolce & Gabbana menswear runway and double up), wide belts that add unexpected pizazz to a simple pencil skirt. Elsewhere, gold-buckled statement belts that sling low on the hips (a side effect of the enduring boho revival, spearheaded by Chloé under the creative direction of Chemena Kamali).
In some instances, they add a bit of sparkle and texture (particularly welcome when paired with simple slacks or denim) but when worn tight around the waist, the impact is more substantial. “It changes the silhouette totally,” says Bonnier. A simple twist to breath fresh life into a look.

Big Bags

Hermès menswear AW25.

Victoria Beckham AW25.

Giorgio Armani menswear AW25.

Stella McCartney AW25.
The ludicrously capacious handbag is enduring for autumn – a catchall that will have passersby wondering, “What’s even in there?” While many of the AW25 oversized bags bet big on luxury, these larger than life carryalls are also alluringly practical. “They’re brilliant if you want to bring your computer and your phone and your gym clothes,” says Bonnier. “That’s very Scandinavian.”
Bonnier suggests one don’t stop at the big bag, but throw in a smaller bag for good measure. “Otherwise you loose everything,” she says. Sure, you can play it safe with black or brown, but a delicious autumn alternative is forest green, like that show-stopper at Victoria Beckham.

Say it with scarves

Zimmermann AW25.

Marni AW25.

Etro AW25.

Givenchy AW25.
Before winter hits, reach for a decorative scarf to bring a certain je ne sais quoi to an autumn fashion moment. The autumn/winter 2025 runways saw a never-ending parade of not-so-functional scarves, rendered in sumptuous silk or feather-light knit, occasionally trailing with dramatic fringe. Wrap it effortlessly around the neck, tie it to that big bag or even wear it as a belt around the waist. Match it to the look for a monochrome moment or treat it as your pop of colour (a forever autumn favourite, especially here in the Nordics). “Plus,” adds Bonnier. “It makes a great gift.”
