Norwegian influencer and style maven, Sophie Sunde Sylte, invites us to join her on a rainy day in Milan as she peruses presentations, indulges in Italian delicacies and dances the night away - fashion week style
For influencer and fashion darling Sophie Sunde Sylte, Milan and Paris are her fashion Olympics. As the penultimate weeks of fashion month approach, her calendar quickly becomes a tightly-packed whirlwind of runway shows, exclusive presentations, and glittering soirees, sweeping the It girl from one fashion capital to the next in a blur of flashbulbs and stilettos.
One rain-soaked Milanese afternoon – equal parts glamour and grit, with a steady stream of presentations, fresh pasta, and Jimmy Choos – Vogue Scandinavia trailed Sunde Sylte as she powered through the third leg of fashion's most demanding season. From her meticulous morning rituals and chic lunch breaks to quick glam touch-ups and the electric buzz of after-dark events, this is Milan through her eyes.

My days in Milan often begin with movement. Either a morning run through the city or a pilates session — I love running outside, it’s the perfect way to discover more of the city while gathering inspiration before the shows and events. It’s also a grounding way to start what usually turns into a very busy day.

Back at the apartment, I take my time getting ready. For me, makeup is a little ritual — almost like therapy. I keep it simple with a soft glam look, using Dior Beauty (a brand I always return to for their effortless yet polished finishes). It’s my way of creating a sense of calm before stepping into the energy of fashion week.

Breakfast this morning was at the Fondazione Prada café, where I had a simple sandwich that turned out to be one of the best I’ve had in Milan — sometimes it’s those little things that surprise you the most. After that, I finally had time to explore Fondazione Prada itself. It’s been on my list for years, and I found the space to be such an inspiring source of creativity.

For lunch, I stopped by one of my favourite spots in Milan, A Santa Lucia. I can never resist their parmigiana — it’s divine and something I recommend to anyone visiting.

The Jimmy Choo presentation was definitely a highlight. The new collection was beautifully displayed in such a stunning location — a true reminder of how the brand continues to reinvent timeless elegance.

Before heading to dinner, I returned to the apartment for a quick change and some touch-ups — shifting my look from day to night.

Dinner was at Yapa and the food here was incredible — course after course of flavours that felt both surprising and comforting. It’s the kind of place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a date night spot in Milan.

The night continued with the Mytheresa event at the iconic Bar Basso, one of Milan’s most legendary cocktail bars. The atmosphere was electric, and it was the perfect mix of fashion and fun — such a great way to round off the day.

And as sometimes happens during fashion week, the night didn’t end there. We made a late stop at Giorgio Armani Club for a proper girls’ night out in the city — a reminder that Milan FW is as much about the energy and people as it is about the shows.

For me, fashion week has always been about much more than just attending shows. It’s also about being inspired — by the architecture that frames the city, by the flavours of Italian food shared with friends, and by the energy of the people you meet along the way. Those moments in between the runway presentations are often what make the week so memorable.
