For the latest in a succession of covetable collaborations, Moomin teams up with Danish brand Sofie Schnoor for a capsule set to launch in 2026
Moomin's whimsical, thoughtful nature and distinct visual universe have been a lifelong fascination for Danish designer Sofie Schnoor. "Moomin has always fascinated me with its visual universe and its whimsical, thoughtful nature," she reflects. It is, therefore, a natural alignment for her eponymous label to partner with the fuzzy-faced Finnish icons.

Spanning scarves and shirting, denim and jumpers, the playful world of Moomin (who have previously graced the cover of Vogue Scandinavia) is integrated with a subtle sophistication that resonates with the label's core aesthetic. Monochromatic sketches, lifted from Tove Jansson's cult comics, glide onto t-shirts, offering a discreetly sartorial nod to fandom. Poplin shorts are simply adorned with Moominmamma's affirming quote, "Life is very charming, I must say", while the coordinating shirt features a polaroid-esque family portrait on the reverse.

The collection also explores a more artistic sensibility, with denim serving as the canvas for whimsical Moomin motifs. Gentle florals cascade down one pair of jeans, complemented by a serene landscape adorning the back of a matching shirt. Rendered in a restrained palette of blues, beiges, and whites, these pieces possess a quiet versatility, allowing them to seamlessly integrate into any existing wardrobe (much like the Moomins themselves seamlessly integrated into our childhood).

Our standout selection? The choice is a close call between the etched underwater scene scarf – perfect for draping over shoulders or tying to a bag handle – and the Little My t-shirt, emblazoned with the definitive declaration, "I only have excellent ideas." For Schnoor, the latter piece holds a personal resonance; she felt a childhood affinity with Little My, whose fearless and straightforward personality both inspired and fascinated her – a character who dared to do everything the designer did not as a child.
The Sofie Schnoor x Moomin collection is set to debut at the upcoming Copenhagen Fashion Week and will be available to purchase from March 2026.
