Schnayderman's - SS22

By Josefin Forsberg

Menswear brand Schnayderman's Spring/Summer collection takes us out of lockdown and into the new-normal

Over the last two years, we’ve all been in constant transit between return-to-normal and lockdowns. This uncertainty is what inspired Schnayderman’s SS22 collection, aptly named ‘In-Transit’. According to Creative Director Hampus Bernhoff, the eclectic collection is meant to reflect our current state of mind amid a global pandemic and focus on the optimism that comes with our emergence into society.

Collaborating with Swedish artist Marcus Mårtenson on the prints and placement artworks that appear on items throughout the collection, the varied selection of wardrobe essentials were a mix of airy silhouettes with a utilitarian touch that draws the mind to workwear. The washed-out colours and sun-faded hues are carried on throughout the collection and emphasised in embroidered logos and the new selection of caps. Pops of denim and aqua completes the palette together.

As a continuation of the brand’s ‘imaginary restaurant’ graphics theme on jerseys and caps, the Spring/Summer rendition is a take on ramen shops. With this in mind, the collection took on new life in the sake and ramen inspired set created by Stockholm based glass-artist and tableware designer Yoko Yamano.
