Royal Copenhagen and Griegst are turning to the sea at the 2026 3daysofdesign. Through an immersive exhibition, the enchanting Triton – an ocean-inspired collection of porcelain pieces doubling as works of art, originally designed by Arje Griegst in 1979 – resurfaces from the archives in new aquatic glazes, brought to life through Royal Copenhagen's exquisite craftsmanship. To mark the occasion, the duo hosted an intimate dinner, transforming Royal Copenhagen's showroom into a nautical dreamscape speckled with Triton tableware evoking seashells and waves. Among those in attendance was Danish stylist and former Vogue Scandinavia cover star Pernille Teisbaek, who pens her experience exclusively here

"I would say yes immediately to anything related to Griegst. I have a personal connection to the brand going back almost ten years, to when Phillip and I were getting married and chose our wedding rings from Griegst. Ever since, I've been a huge fan of the world Noam [Griegst, Arje Griegst's son, who is currently spearheading the company] has built around the brand.

For years – and I really do mean years – I've been asking Noam when the porcelain might finally return. Eight years of asking, at least. So when I heard that the Triton porcelain was coming back, I was beyond excited.

What makes it even more special is that the collection has been brought back to life with Royal Copenhagen, the very same producers who made it all those years ago. After 50 years in hibernation, Triton has reawakened in the most beautiful new glazes, while remaining completely true to its original spirit.

Attending the Griegst dinner during 3daysofdesign felt particularly meaningful. To see this iconic collection return – and to celebrate it surrounded by people who share a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design – was a truly special way to spend the evening. Because honestly, in Denmark, this is kind of a big deal..."
