Never one to shy away from a daring look, Pedro Pascal wore a swashbuckling Acne Studios look to Star Wars Celebration in Japan

It was a big weekend for Pedro Pascal fans. No only did that thing happen on HBO’s The Last of Us, the actor also wore a look to Star Wars Celebration in Chiba, Japan that will forever be burned in our brains. Plucked from Acne Studios’ autumn/winter 2025 mens collection, the daring outfit consists of a billowing striped shirt (arguably akin to the famous Seinfeld puffy shirt), tailored black Bermuda shorts and knee-high leather boots. It’s a look that begs the question: is piratecore a thing?

This look, however unexpected, is not unprecedented. Pascal, who plays Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian in the Star Wars universe, is partial to a short on the red carpet. Most famously, the actor wore Valentino shorts to the 2023 Met Gala. This time around, however, stylist Julie Ragolia crafted a look that brought extra attention to Pascal’s knees, an oft overlooked patch of skin when it comes to men’s dressing.

Though Paul Mescal has long been hailed the king of shorts, Pascal is making a solid run for the throne. Watch this space.
