"Our vision is always informed by our values": Trussardi's creative directors discuss their design DNA

By Clare McInerney

We sit down with Norwegian designer and photographer Benjamin Alexander Huseby and his design partner Serhat Işık to talk about values that drive their creative direction of Trussardi

In Vogue Scandinavia's special anniversary Aug-Sept issue, Huseby and Işık opened up about the shared values that are helping them to breathe new life into cult Italian fashion house Trussardi.

Meeting seven years ago through mutual friends, it didn't take long for them to join forces for the launch of their Berlin-based brand GmbH. But now, the pair have a much greater platform for the "storytelling' that is at the heart of fashion, in their eyes since being announced as the creative directors of Trussardi in May 2021.

"We're trying to tell our stories in the most authentic way," Huseby and Işık share in this short film. In doing so, they hope to bring a whole new identity and vision to a brand that has a bit of an opaque history. The pair want fashion to reach a point where space isn't just made for the extraordinary people of colour "white white counterparts aren't held to the same standard."
