With its 'Sculptural Silhouettes' campaign, Danish high jewellery house Ole Lynggaard ushers in a new chapter. Fronted by rising star Clara Rugaard, the heritage brand fuses its signature 18-karat artistry with the spirit of a modern muse
Illustrious Copenhagen-based jewellery house, Ole Lynggaard has been favoured by countless A-listers – from Travis Kelce to Jenna Ortega, and now, it ushers in a new chapter. With 27-year-old rising star and darling Dane Clara Rugaard – know for her captivating Black Mirror performance – as its fresh face, the heritage house unveils its newest campaign.
The lauded jewellery atelier and purveyor to The Royal Danish Court, which celebrated its diamond jubilee in 2023, is anchored by its unwavering familial values and cultural affinity. Helmed by Charlotte Lynggaard, daughter of the eponymous craftsman and founder, its distinctive Danish designs hone in on the art of precise metalwork paired with a predilection towards nature. Each of their scintillating creations exude emotive, visual and contextual appeal, drawing from a comprehensive range of symbolic motifs documented during the founder’s international voyages to Asia, America and Central Europe.

Ole Lynggaard's intricate flora and fauna designs are beloved amongst Scandinavian tastemakers, as is the endearing inclusion of anthropomorphic elements in their work. Take, for instance, the elephants that rest upon their minutely detailed pendants. The company's newest curated collection – entitled 'Sculptural Silhouettes' – lives up to their glittering reputation, offering a meticulously devised practice in understated elegance. Materialised by a dexterous team of 40 skilled goldsmiths, it boasts necklaces, rings and statement earrings made to be worn, admired and cherished as intergenerational keepsakes by the dreamers and the doers of the world.

Rugaard shines in the campaign, staged in Copenhagen’s Thorvaldsen’s Museum. Nestled amongst the architectural grandeur of the Gottlieb Bindesbøll-designed structure, Danish photography duo Louise & Maria Thornfeldt lensed the 27-year-old rising star as she flaunted the campaign’s ornate, spotlight-stealing chandelier earrings and delicate necklaces adorned with pristine, polished diamonds . "I have never felt as glamorous as I did wearing the special Gipsy earrings during the shoot," she confessed to the brand. "They are extraordinarily beautiful, and gave me enormous confidence!"

The brand’s gravitation towards environmental beauty also falls in perfect tandem with the actress, who similarly retreats to the forests, beaches and parks of the natural world in order to "reconnect with myself or seek inspiration".
"It is a little dream come true," she says of her prominence within the campaign. "I have known the brand since I was a little girl and would often find myself standing mesmerised outside their shop windows." Now, the release of 'Sculptural Silhouettes' beckons a whole new generation of young girls to stand rapt outside the high jewellery house's flagship store in Copenhagen and who knows, perhaps one day they too will embody its unique spirit as Clara has done.
