The 2026 Maison&Objet and Paris Déco Off are here, turning the City of Lights into a veritable design playground. From new collection launches to established icons, here, we round up all the can't-miss Scandinavian highlights of the week
New year, new roster of design weeks to look forward to. Kicking off 2026 is the first edition of Paris’ flagship international design fair, Maison&Objet (the second instalment will take place in September during Paris Design Week), taking over the city’s Parc des Expositions from 15-19 January. This year’s theme for the fair is ‘Past Reveals Future’, honing in on furniture grounded in craftsmanship, with over 2,000 brands participating.
Running in tandem with Maison&Objet is the Paris Déco Off (14-17 January), which sees over 150 textile houses debuting their latest collections in bustling showrooms across the city. Collectively, these events not only spotlight the best and brightest in the industry but also offer a snapshot of the current trends shaping the interiors sphere, setting the tone for the year ahead.
Naturally, Nordic brands have a strong presence at both Maison&Objet and the Déco Off – explore our curated round-up of the can’t-miss Scandinavian highlights below.

Nordic Knots
Nordic Knots, the Swedish company loved by fashion insiders and design enthusiasts alike, departs from the traditional showroom route for this year’s Déco Off. For its Scène d’Intérieur installation, designer Marie-Anne Derville has transformed a lofty Paris apartment originally designed by French icon Andrée Putman for Hôtel d’Hallwyll into a poetic study of “memory, privacy, and the inner life of a collector”.
Inspired by 20th-century collector greats such as Eileen Gray, Derville breathes new life into the space, presenting it as a lived-in home where vintage and contemporary design collide. Gently nodding to the past, the apartment is punctuated with Nordic Knots’ latest releases, including its ‘Grand’ rugs rendered in rich new hues of Emerald, Sakura, and Pecan, alongside the brand’s curtains, bedding, décor, and textile sketches, granting visitors a glimpse into its creative universe.

Reflections Copenhagen is behind some of the Nordics’ most captivating, hand-cut crystal creations, and this season the brand treats Maison&Objet to its lustrous, technicolour designs. At the fair, Reflections Copenhagen unveils its latest collection, dubbed ‘Lucinda Luce – an ode to light and brilliance’, housing a range of iridescent crystal pieces, including console tables, tealight holders and decorative bowls, enlivened with a kaleidoscope of bold hues.
Inspired by Italy's spirit, particularly the vibrant energy of Milan, the collection positions light as a statement in its own right. “It’s about the joy of seeing ordinary interiors transformed into extraordinary experiences,” explains owner and designer Andrea Larsson. “It draws from the radical visions of Ettore Sottsass, Gio Ponti, and others who dared to design with humour, edge, and emotion.”

A Finnish highlight at Maison&Objet is the heritage, family-owned weaving brand Lapuan Kankurit. With roots stretching back to 1917, the company has provided carefully crafted wool and linen textiles to Finnish homes for generations, and now brings its tradition to Paris. At Maison&Objet, Lapuan Kankurit introduces its new collection that embraces the stripe motif and its enduring connection with the beach and the sea.
“The very first patterns on woven textiles were stripes. This realisation led us to incorporate a lot of stripes into our new collection, which naturally led our thoughts towards the sea and beach life,” says Elina Helenius, the head designer of Lapuan Kankurit. The natural-hued lineup harbours a bevvy of everyday essentials, from soft linen bath towels and kitchen towels to sauna covers.
