From floor-length By Malina gowns, to crystal buckled Manolo Blahnik stilettos, Vogue Scandinavia spotlights the royal style to inspire your modern wedding guest attire

One week ago today, Al Hussein bin Abdullah, Crown Prince of Jordan, and Rajwa Al Saif had their wedding in the grand Zahran Palace. The nuptial affair saw an influx of notable royal families flocking to the event, with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Princess Mary of Denmark representing the Nordic region.

As expected, all eyes were on the bride. She walked down the aisle in an all-white gown featuring an asymmetric neckline and a detachable floral detailed train by middle eastern designer, Elie Saab. Made with six kilos worth of pearls, the wedding dress allegedly took twenty people six months to complete.

Besides the grand venue and a-list guestlist, our under-the-radar talking point was the outfits of the Scandi Royals in attendance. Below, discover their floral frocks for an injection of wedding guest inspiration.

In attendance was HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden who, notably loyal to Scandinavian labels, opted for a floral print maxi dress from By Malina in a lush satin texture, with bellowing bell sleeves and a high neckline. The signature By Malina flair (a regular favourite for Sweden’s crown princess) could be found in the feminine details, including a soft sorbet colour palette and figure-enhancing gathered details.

Finishing touches paid homage to the wedding destination itself, with Crown Princess Victoria sporting a metallic clutch by the aforementioned wedding dress designer, Elie Saab. To finish, dainty jewels in the form of multi-gemstone Bulgari drop earrings featuring glints of garnet, citrine and diamond accents.

Princess Mary of Denmark also opted for a delicate floral gown: The ‘Agnes’ dress by Erdem. The silky silhouette was styled with a cornflower blue bow (dubbed the accessory of the moment after being seen on the likes of Elle Fanning, Camilla Morrone and Karlie Kloss at the recent 2023 Met Gala) and powder blue Manolo Blahnik stiletto heels with crystal buckles.

Highlighting that florals are fit for every occasion, this versatile number has been spotted on Mary during several royal engagements - including the 80th birthday celebrations of King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway back in 2019.
