Nana Komatsu, Chanel Beauty's newest ambassador, shares her vision

Nana Komatsu, the Japanese actress and model, has lent her charms to Chanel for 10 years now, illuminating campaigns and runways and captivating the fashion world with her delicate yet magnetic beauty. But her commitment is now taking a new turn: “I am very honoured to have been named Chanel Beauty Ambassador. I am delighted to be associated with a world that is distinct from that of fashion. I look forward to revealing a new facet of myself and continuing to challenge myself,” she confides.

What vision does she wish to instill in this role? “Beyond the beauty inherent in each individual, I want to refine our inner beauty. To be loving, attentive, while remaining true to my identity,” she explains.

For Komatsu, makeup is a true point of balance. “When a professional does my makeup, I sometimes discover a version of myself I never suspected. There are always surprises, revelations… That’s what makes makeup so magical.” And when she does her own makeup? “The base remains the same, but I like to play with colors, adding or removing them depending on my mood or the current fashion.”

Throughout her career, her vision of beauty has naturally become more refined. “Beauty is different for everyone, so I try first to value what makes me feel comfortable,” she confides. She says she now places great importance on her physical and emotional well-being : “Women go through so many changes. I’ve learned to love myself as I am.”

Her daily habits are like little rituals that help her refocus. “It’s not just a routine, it’s a promise I make to myself. In the evening, I relax my body before sleeping to ensure a real night’s rest.”

On days when she wears makeup, removing it and moisturising become non-negotiable. “I like to take care of my skin simply,” she says, revealing a beauty that seems to have been born precisely from this accumulation of discreet gestures.

In addition to this, there's an essential item, almost a talisman, that she always keeps with her: Chanel's Serum N°1 , which smooths, nourishes, and illuminates the skin. “It's very practical: the dosage is perfect, and it applies quickly. I also love its texture, which goes on beautifully and deeply hydrates.” She continues: “The people, places, and creations I've discovered thanks to Chanel are filled with inspiration, excitement, and learning.”

For Nana Komatsu, these 10 years spent with the house have not only marked her career: they have colored her life. “I am happy to have learned to love fashion more deeply, to have received trust, to have lived unique experiences, to have felt the passion of the Chanel designers and met so many people whom I deeply respect.”

Now an ambassador for Chanel Beauty, she feels ready to write a new chapter. “I want to continue enjoying the journey with Chanel,” she says, driven by the desire to explore the world of beauty even further.
