Model diary: Vogue Scandinavia cover star Vilma Sjöberg's NYFW diary

By Vogue Scandinavia

The 22-year-old catwalk queen is at it again this season, and she's taken us along for the ride in New York

In Vogue Scandinavia's latest issue, we celebrate the catwalk – and few Nordic girls have walked more catwalks in recent seasons than Vilma Sjöberg. This fashion month will be no exception for the 22-year-old Swedish model, who has already proven to be the epitome of 'booked and busy' with an action-packed start to proceedings in the Big Apple.

From her extensive amount of hair extensions for Altuzarra, to a blurry 6.00AM call time for Carolina Herrera in Manhattan, Sjöberg takes us behind-the-scenes during her whirlwind week of runways at New York Fashion Week so far.

“I kicked off fashion week by attending an event hosted by Vogue Scandinavia at Chris Mack’s STUNNING house on the Upper East Side. It was also my birthday – getting to see my new cover IRL was the best birthday gift!”

“Here I am, early in the morning, getting my hair ready with a loooot of extensions for Altuzarra.”

“Such a lovely show! This was the 15th anniversary show for Altuzarra and Joseph is always the sweetest, making sure all of the models are well taken care of.”

“After the show, I met up with my boyfriend outside the venue and we went to grab lunch at Odeon. I was really feeling this hair and forced him to take some more pictures, although the photographers outside snapped plenty as well...”

“The next morning I had a 6.00AM call time for the Carolina Herrera show. It was kind of cosy being half asleep in a taxi driving through a sleepy Manhattan.”

“Rehearsal for Carolina Herrera! The location was wonderful, on the 41st floor, looking over Manhattan. The elevator to take everyone down again was a problem for later…”

“My first look! It looks very calm just moments before the show, but it was not… My makeup actually got done with one minute to go to the show!”

“√ery chic! Very elegant! Very Herrera!”
