Before our latest cover star Laufey embarks on her A Matter of Time tour, we revisit a handful of her most unforgettable stage outfits

In just under two months, jazz-pop sensation Laufey will embark on her A Matter of Time tour. Kicking off in Orlando, Florida, the Grammy Award-winner will once again take the stage in a series of swoon-worthy performance ensembles. While her old-school jazz sound may transport listeners to a time gone by, it’s her stage wardrobe that completes the vintage-inspired world she creates.

Blending classic silhouettes with modern flourishes, she has crafted a signature aesthetic – or 'Laufeycore', as her devoted fans call it – that feels as romantic as her melodies. From ruffled gowns by Rodarte to perfectly tailored babydoll dresses by Huishan Zhang, and the timeless elegance of Chanel, each look contributes as much to the whimsical atmosphere of her concerts as the music itself.

Below, we revisit a few of her most iconic stage looks to date.

For The Goddess Tour stop in Beijing in 2024, Laufey brought romance to the stage in a red lace ruffled ensemble from Rodarte’s SS18 collection. However in true Laufey fashion, the singer paired the lace gown with Bode house shoes to ensure maximum comfort for an evening of singing and dancing.

While debuting her single ‘Silver Lining’ at the Gold House 4th Annual Gold Gala in May of this year, Laufey shimmered under the spotlight in Huishan Zhang’s all-over sequin Claudette gown. Inspired by the Shanghai jazz scene, the floor length sparkling gown with its art-deco detailing was a true showstopper.

At Brazil’s Popload Festival this year, Laufey floated across the stage in a silk ruffled Rodarte ensemble. The cascading layers and bows make the singer look almost ethereal, and the high-low length was perfect for the warm São Paulo weather.

We would be remiss not to include Laufey’s 2024 Grammys look, a classic printed silk twill top and matching skirt from Chanel’s SS24 collection. Paired with sleek lambskin sandals from the same season, the ensemble was the perfect look for the singer to give her first Grammy’s performance and to scoop up her first award.

For her Lollapalooza 2024 set, Laufey brought vintage-inspired charm in a Rodarte SS19 top and skirt, paired with silver Sweet Jane ballerina flats by Christian Louboutin. The large tulle sleeves and skirt adorned with silk bows made the singer's Lollapalooza debut outfit one to remember.
