From skirt suits to repurposed scarves, these are the can’t-miss trends of CPHFW AW26
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. That’s right, folks – CPHFW autumn/winter '26 has come and gone in a flurry of runway shows, presentations, parties and, well, flurries (in case the statement coat-heavy street style didn’t tip you off, it was both snowy and cold). With one less day on the show schedule, the week felt more chaotic than ever, but, miraculously, we managed to take in each and every moment.
And so, with our brain freeze half-thawed, we’re parsing the prevailing trends of the week – a whisper of what’s to come as the international fashion weeks unfold over the coming month. So without further ado, behold the takeaway trends from CPHFW AW26.
Scarf Statements

Anne Sofie Madsen .

Taus.

Rave Review.

Operasport.
On the streets, scarves were wrapped round heads to stave off the chill, but on the runway they were baked into the very fabric of the looks. Yes, scarves and blankets with delicate fringes, reimagined as draped dresses and elegant skirts were all over the runways, with many iterations – the blanket coats at Anne Sofie Madsen, the gowns at Taus – featuring upcycled materials. Talk about fringe benefits.
Next Gen Skirt Suits

Forza Collective.

Henrik Vibskov.
The skirt suit received fresh life this season, rendered in sumptuous leather and Gestuz and reimagined with toggles and hoods at Anne Sofie Madsen. Power dressing that’s hardly boardroom boring.
Obvious Upcycling

Sson.

Bonnetje.

Taus.
Upcycling has long been a welcome trend at CPHFW, but this season designers weren’t shy about exposing their materials. At Sson, a v-neck sweater or a handbag becomes a skirt, Taus revelled in expressive home textiles and Bonnetje continued its deconstruction of mens suiting and shirts. Sustainability has never looked so chic.
Winter Whites

Herskind.

MKDT.

The Garment.

Aiayu.
Perhaps not the most practical hue for the messier among us, top-to-toe winter white in sumptuous textures was an effortlessly chic statement on the runways.
Modern Yuppies

MKDT.

Gestuz.

Forza Collective.
A fresh twist on yuppy dressing – sharp blazers and smart trousers, leather gloves and trench coats tossed over the shoulders – served new wave CEO. Whether headed to the office or not, these looks mean business.
Fair Isle Sweaters

Paolina Russo.

Ranra.

Skall Studio.
The humble Fair Isle sweater – a deeply Scandinavian sentiment – proved that at CPHFW, seasonal practicality ultimately prevails.
