The South Korean artist sat down with Zane Lowe to discuss her upcoming solo album, donning an Acne Studios piece that turned a staple into a statement
This Friday marks a moment many Jennie fans have been eagerly waiting for, as the South Korean artist – of Blackpink fame – drops her solo album, Ruby.
Yesterday, Jennie headed to the studio to chat about the hotly anticipated release with the acclaimed broadcaster and journalist Zane Lowe for Apple Music, opting for an equally buzzy Scandinavian brand for the occasion.
Leaning into the sultry-yet-effortless appeal of an oversized T-shirt as a dress – a look mastered by many an A-list style maven, from Rihanna and Hailey Bieber to Bella Hadid – Jennie stepped out in a baggy, melange tee plucked from Acne Studios’ spring/summer ‘25 collection. The cult-favourite Swedish brand’s offering for the season, as creative director Jonny Johansson put it, “started from a twisted domestic scenery”, exploring how domestic codes could be interpreted in fashion. “The end result is domestic and alien,” he noted.

The SS25 piece worn by Jennie, a devoted Acne Studios aficionado, sees the classic loose-fitting tee – a staple of at-home attire – jazzed up with an eye-catching silhouette. Crafted from textured cotton, it features billowing, gathered sleeves and hem. Jennie elevated hers with a pair of black pointed-toe heels teamed with matching, thigh-high leg warmers. The singer kept her jewellery minimal while her bouncy, straight tresses played into the cool, no-fuss feel.
