Copenhagen-based creative agency IntroOutro uses all the tricks in its toolbox – and its impressive network – to create extraordinary moments for its clients. Now IntroOutro expands its roster once again, introducing a talent department to its ever-expanding repertoire
Think of IntroOutro as that one friend who seems to know everybody. The Danish creative agency makes magic through connections – linking its diverse network of talents and brands within fashion, art, design, music and food in delightfully unexpected ways to create something singular. “We have built a community around our agency where we want to combine brands with other brands and talents,” says co-owner and creative director Julius Værnes Iversen. “By combining a lot of different industries, we feel it gives it a creative aspect instead of just working as an old-school communication platform.”

This “creative aspect” often manifests as fantastical site-specific physical moments (which, more often than not, also take the internet by storm). Take, for instance, the grand opening of the Cartier ice rink at the centre of Kongens Nytorv or the Uniqlo event they produced at Jomfruens Egede castle in southern Denmark, in which talents from all over Europe slipped into Uniqlo Heattech and set out to explore the stunning Stevns Klint (a UNESCO world heritage site).
Today, the agency is expanding its network once again, launching its very own talent department. True to form, IntroOutro’s starting roster of talents represents a range of industries, from model Nadja Bender to podcasters Ingrid Baraka and Naima Yasin to psychologist and author Sarah Zobel.

The other secret to IntroOutro’s success? The creatives behind it. Co-owned by Værnes Iversen, Stine Elmegaard Windfeld (a PR and communications wizard) and Morten Bartho (a bona fide ‘fixer’ with over two decades of experience in event production), the agency has the goods to back up its promise to be a 360 service agency. “We’re so different in our areas of expertise, but together, we really fill the gaps,” says Elmegaard Windfeld. “We really complement each other.”
For IntroOutro, the best client is a brand that they can evolve with. “I’d rather work with a brand that’s open-minded and open towards creative ideas,” says Værnes Iversen. “But sometimes the best brand to work with is a heritage brand that can evolve.” Lately, Introoutro has its sights set on 3daysofdesign, Copenhagen’s forthcoming furniture fair that, much like the agency, tends to bring out collaborations from all creative disciplines. For this year’s iteration, the agency will be working with beloved design house Louise Roe (an ongoing client of the agency) as well as the design brand Raawii, which is launching a new creative space.

Even though IntroOutro has an international outlook, the agency is proudly Danish, with a community that starts at home. Take, for instance, their bi-monthly dinner parties, at which local artists and models mingle with chefs and fashion designers – a modern-day salon held in the agency’s gallery-like showroom space smack dab in the centre of Copenhagen. “We are trying to build up the community around these dinners by inviting creatives from different industries,” says Værnes Iversen. A recent dinner, which celebrated the opening of an exhibition by Simon Ganshorn, found a mishmash of Danish creatives dining on a menu crafted by the out-of-the-box oyster restaurant Pinkoyster. The dinners are a micro example of what IntroOutro does best: bringing together a curated group of creatives from different disciplines to create magic.
