The beloved Swedish designer has caught the 2026 Winter Olympics frenzy, unveiling a new piece that playfully nods to Sweden's curling prowess: the 'Curling Bowl'

While the spectacle is still in full swing, the 2026 Winter Olympics have already proved fruitful for Sweden, with the country clocking a slew of medals – particularly in its pride and joy, cross-country skiing. Yesterday, a new sport entered Sweden’s medal tally as sibling duo Rasmus Wranå and Isabella Wranå took gold against Team USA in mixed doubles curling.

Naturally, the whole nation burst into celebration over the remarkable achievement, among them beloved Swedish designer Gustaf Westman. The creative marked the moment in a quintessential Westman style: by creating a new chunky piece that cheekily nods to the sport. Introducing: the ‘Curling Bowl’.

“Curling bowl! The only snack bowl you need for the Olympics!”, he captured the hard launch of the piece on his Instagram post yesterday evening. And we think Westman is definitely onto something here. Rendered in his signature chunky silhouette and sorbet blue, the vessel, shaped in the form of the curling stone, brings together best of both worlds: the lower bowl is perfect for housing your snack of choice (Westman loaded his with a classic: popcorn), while the handles comfortably cradle a wine glass, preferably Westman’s ‘Chunky Wine Glass’, of course.

Simply fill your glass with your preferred beverage, take a comfy seat and you’re all set to marvel at the Games for hours on end – no constant reaching required, thanks to Westman’s invention. As the designer himself puts it: “The Olympic champion of snacking.”
