Ski season beckons – and Gucci is stepping into alpine territory with its first dedicated winter sports collection, Gucci Altitude

Ski season is soon upon us, and Gucci is keenly tapping into the trend. For the first time, the Florentine house has expanded its array of sports and outerwear to cater to those who like to carve it up, introducing the impeccably styled Gucci Altitude collection.

Fronted by global brand ambassador and Italian tennis pro, Jannik Sinner (who was, interestingly, a junior ski champion before turning his attentions to tennis), the new campaign offers an elevated insight into Gucci's new, bold gander. Against the dramatic white-capped peaks of an infinite horizon, the house masterfully showcases its expertise with a collection that flawlessly merges the all-important precision of winter sports wear with unparalleled elegance and ease, all reimagined through Gucci's signature, contemporary lens.

Ski pants and jackets take centre stage, as fashion-forward as they are functional. They are complemented by a covetable array of gloves, socks and those all-important ski boots, ensuring wearers are safe as they are unequivocally stylish. All technical wear expertly combines advanced performance with the house's signature codes. Engineered with cutting-edge technology, as well as that sophistication Gucci is renowned for, garments feature breathable three-layer construction, water-resistant ginoishes and clever functional details such as ski-pass pockets and touchscreen interiors.

The collection extends into striking, sport-inspired eyewear pieces, with ski masks and wrap-around sunglasses dancing effortlessly at the perimeter between high form and ultimate function. In partnership with HEAD, a renowned sportswear manufacturer, the brand also dips into a curated selection of sporting equipment, with skis, ski poles, snowboards, sports bags, and helmets, all embellished with the house's emblematic Web stripe, fundamentally redefining technical sportswear for winter's most demanding, yet glamorous moments.

And, for those who dote on the après-ski almost as much as taking to the slopes, the Italian house has decadently reimagined its ballet flats in plush beige shearling, with tan leather details, still, of course, with its iconic horse-bit detailing – the perfect indulgence after a day on the powder.
