Filippa K - AW22

By Allyson Shiffman

This AW22, the beloved Swedish brand does what it does best - dresses you for a Scandi winter

For AW22, Filippa K presents a new logotype. It is a hint towards what’s to come – next season will be the brand’s first helmed by creative director Liisa Kessler. But first, a collection that revels in the no-nonsense Scandinavian minimalism for which the brand is known. Inspired quite simply by Scandinavian winters, AW22 offers a masterclass in layering and practicality, punctuated by textures that beg to be snuggled and touched.

From the cropped puffer vest to the oversized cream coloured pullover, the simple leather skirt to the function forward parkas, these are items that feel at home on the streets of Stockholm, at that particular time of year when the nights stretch far too long. Dashes of evening-appropriate elegance, by way of sequinned trousers and an otherwise-minimal dress mimic the appearance of moonlight on a frozen lake.

As they say, if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. Until next season, that is.
