Activism in fashion takes a colourful turn in Fam Irvoll’s spring/summer 2022 collection
The buzzing vibe of 1960s New York – The Factory, Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick – served as inspiration for Fam Irvoll and her eponymous label this season. “All my collections are political statements of some sort. I am an activist and I want to use that part of me to always say something out loud by making fashion the way I do,” she tells me.

A new addition to the designer’s work is the involvement of print studio Studio Inga, a new project between Irvoll and her friend Rosalind Holmes. The prints – all made and printed in London – take centre stage alongside the beautiful beading in this whimsical collection.
