Lately, Desiré Inglander has displayed the determination, focus and discipline of a professional athlete. The reason? Her upcoming wedding, set to take place in France this June. Just ask her fiancé, Armand ‘Mondo̓ Duplantis, AKA the best pole vaulter in the world. “It’s a little bit similar to how I was for the Olympics,” he says. “She’s more on top of things. She’s locked in.” Duplantis is half-kidding of course (Inglander has made a similar joke on Instagram, much to the delight of her 800k+ followers). But any half-joke is also half-true. It isn’t simply a state-of-mind comparison; Inglander has quite literally intensified her workouts (and, by extension, her in the-gym content). “It’s fun to have a reason to train,” she says, before doubling down with the assertion: “It is my Olympics.”
