If you missed the Copenhagen Studios breakfast at Villa Copenhagen, here's everything that happened in the kitchen

Trust Copenhagen Studios to host the most creative breakfast of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Taking over the industrial kitchen at Villa Copenhagen on Tuesday morning, the brand, together with Vogue Scandinavia, invited a slew of the city's sartorial savants to nibble on supersized sourdough with the logo scored into the crust, complemented by whipped butter, classic Copenhagen cheese and jam, and a veritable painter's palette of juices and fruit.

For almost a decade, the brand has blended a distinctive design signature with a refined Nordic approach to life. Just before Copenhagen Fashion Week, it took its polished, pared-back pieces, fashioned from the finest materials like leather and suede, to Italy for the very first time, showcasing its latest spring/summer lineup – including its signature sneakers, elevated boat shoes and loafers – at Florence's Flow Run during Pitti Uomo.

At Villa Copenhagen, guests were treated to a sneak peek of Copenhagen Studios' upcoming spring/summer '27 collection, which arrived in the kitchen in mesh boat shoes on gum soles, lug-soled leather deck shoes, and chunky sneakers. Minimalist simplicity sets the tone for the SS27 offering, which also includes innovative running shoes and sandals made for balmy summer days, all rendered in crisp neutrals with a sporty ease.

It's apt, considering a white shoe is a blank canvas, and the guests in attendance treated it accordingly. Angelica Blick came shimmying into the venue wearing a wrap-around black tassle scarf and a sailor's hat. Laura Schulte had shrugged on the denim and slipped into a pair of white boat shoes (naturally). Eva Waszkowski arrived in her signature crochet hat that sparkled under the kitchen lights. And that's before we've even touched on the pop-of-colour bags. There was fiery red and orange, but it was Copenhagen Studios' own suede style in cream and chocolate and cobalt, circulating between the counters, that caught our attention.

Weaving between the bowling bags was also illustrator Joy Marie Howley, there to draw the guests as they ate. She worked in acrylic pen, catching the footwear with particular accuracy and carrying her supplies in Copenhagen Studios' dark brown suede shoulder bag, which she pronounced ideal for the job, likening it to Mary Poppins' purse for how much it swallows. Every guest left with their own portrait slipped into the bags. Most shrieked of joy on receiving it, which is not a sound the fashion week circuit produces very often.
