On the tennis court, love represents a score of zero, but off the court – for Norwegian racquet-wielding star Casper Ruud, at least – it's a winning play
Congratulations are in order for 25-year-old Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud and Maria Galligani, as the pair publicly announce their engagement.
The loved-up couple have been together since 2018, well before Ruud skyrocketed to become one of the premier players on the ATO Tour, secured three Grand Slam finals and even featured on the pages of Vogue Scandinavia. Galligani, who is Norwegian of Italian descent, maintains her privacy across social media but has been an increasingly frequent presence in his box during key tournaments in the tennis calendar.
Following in the footsteps of fellow Scandinavia sports star Mondo Duplantis, Ruud opted for a beach setting for the announcement, sharing a trio of photos of himself and Galligani barefoot on the sand in front of idyllic blue waters. "Can't wait to marry you," he captioned the post with his new fiancée. Trading his tennis gear for a light pink shirt and white trousers, he embraces Galligani who wears a cream minidress – the perfect backdrop to her sparkling new ring.

Before the buzzy news landed, attention was firmly on Ruud's on-court activity, as he reached the semi-finals at the Nitto ATP Finals. He is now officially enjoying the offseason period – and it's already proven to be an offseason to remember.
