Swedish pop stars and forever friends Tove Lo and Caroline Hjelt (one-half of Icona Pop) are seasoned festival pros, often experiencing the action from the stage. This time, however, they headed to the second weekend of Coachella simply looking for a good time. The dynamic duo share their diary exclusively with Vogue Scandinavia
We’ve been going to festivals together since we were 15, starting at a muddy Hultsfred in Sweden where all our food got stolen and dudes kept peeing on our tent. Throughout the years, as we both started touring, we would mostly run into each other at festivals we both were playing – which is awesome – but it was really special to get to go to Coachella just to have fun this year.
We’ve learned, after making many mistakes in the past, that when it comes to outfits at festivals they need to be the perfect combination of comfortable and cool. You need to be able to dance all night, sit in the dirt and still serve a look.
