Bite Studios - SS24

By Josefin Forsberg

Here's why you should take a bite of Bite Studios' spring/summer '24 collection

Within the walls of the serene GSA art gallery on the outskirts of Stockholm, set to the captivating sounds of pianist Martin Hederos, Bite Studios invited an audience of industry fiends to experience the brand's latest collection presentation. It was a brand first for the Swedish luxury womenswear brand, which has never before shown their collection in the Swedish capital.

The vernisage presentation saw 30 models – both local and flown in from Paris and Milan – make their way through a runway lined by single-stem glass vases stuffed to the brim with lush greenery and dainty dark red florals. The clothes themselves were a mix of the upcoming collection and signatures from the brand's past – a sheer tank top first seen in Bite Studios' autumn/winter '18 collection cropped up three times throughout the presentation, for example.

It was a testament to the brand's sartorial ethos: creating fashion that is made to last beyond one season. The collection as a whole reaffirms the perennial point of view of brand founders Veronika Kant and William Lundgren, reaffirmed by a collection of delicate yet enduring and exceptionally crafted looks. Tailored jackets, silk dresses and flouncy petal belts merge in a quiet luxury-sort of colour scheme spanning true blacks, creamy whites, terracotta reds, and sandy yellows.

"This collection really is the heart and soul of what Bite represents and is a true reflection of how our design processes have evolved and continue to develop," the co-founders noted after the collection. "It's the truest expression of us to date and I think this presentation has taken us one big step forward to sharing this message with a global audience."
